Here's the last of the devils series, you can probably tell I was a big admirer of Simon Bisley back in the 90's. No-one can paint gratuitous scenes of carnage like Bisley can, his sense of visceral is both absurd and darkly funny. There's been rumours recently circulating of a Lobo movie...but does Hollywood have the brass weights to do it properly?
I love it! ITS SO GLORIOUS !!!!
I love this epic style, man! Keep it up!
Well this is just pure awsomness!
Very nice! I love all of the little details, and the sheer over-the-top-ness of gore and bones and sharp objects.
it was a lot of fun to paint, I dont often do over the top gore (I'm quite a pacifist really) but it was a liberating experience
The menticulous details confer it a realist touch. But the atmosphere of the photo is sinister and in the same time full of joy and the feeling of victory. Nice contrast. Good work.^^
definitely trying to convey that, you nailed it, also the blue sky was to imply that better days were on their way
Your artwork is incredible.
Probably not, but an awesome picture and character none the less.
Dang that looks amazing! Sadly Simon Bisley is a name I haven't heard of. What sort of works has he done before?
abc warriors for 2000ad was the first standout gig, then he went on to do Slaine, Lobo, Heavy Metal issues, he basically turned comics art around, loads of artists mimicked him, do a google image search for "simon bisley" some of its very NSFW,
there's an official "fansite" at www.simonbisleyart.com/officia…
b...blood for the blood god! skulls for the skull throne! O_O
My fave of the series so far, love those skulls!
